| What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program: | I really liked the flexibility of scheduling and convenience of doing it on line. I could not have completed a Master's Degree at this point in my life (4 kids) if I had to commute regularly for classes. |
| How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life: | Fortunately, my husband was very understanding. He picked up all the slack when I stopped doing things like housework and cooking. Other things I had to give up were the hobbies that I had prior to CTER. I used to do a lot of needlework, but I haven't picked up a needle in over 2 years. I also cut way back on my volunteer hours at New Salem and Lincoln's Home. |
| CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways: | I have become more comfortable with incorporating technology into my curriculum. I also became the technology facilitator for my building. |
| Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.) | I switched buildings when our district restructured. I started at Iles, which was a 5th-6th grade center before the change, and moved to Dubois when it changed from K-4 to K-5. |
| My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program: | Working with Jim Bertelsen for days to try to get my streaming video to upload and work was the most frustrating and memorable experience. We never did figure out why it wouldn't upload properly, but Jim got it to work anyway which was a great relief to me. |
