What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program:  I was pleased not to have to drive to and from class as I had in the past. I felt that the two hours of drive time was spent more productively in front of the computer for the CTER program.
How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life:  I am glad that I didn't have to care for a family during my CTER experience. I was very impressed with my many classmates who juggled it all! Personally, I had to discipline myself and set goals. I enjoyed many of the projects I created for CTER, so I didn't always mind giving up something else like dusting.
CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways:  CTER gave me the motivation and time to create and explore valuable educational technology experiences for my students. Although I haven't changed jobs, I have taught many staff development classes. CTER has made my presentations more effective.
Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.)  I purchased my first home just before I started CTER. Not only did I have to adjust to the coursework, but I had to adjust to caring for a home and a yard. During the second CTER class, I adopted my first pet, Max, a nine week old black lab/collie mix. He has brought much company while I sat at the computer doing my homework. Max also gave me a good excuse to get away from the computer and get some exercise on our daily walks.
My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program:  The Sue Files assessment project with the Field Museum! Because of my involvement, my district superintendent gave me special permission to take my class to Chicago to see Sue the T-rex. My students were also given a very memorable experience. My fellow CTER classmates! We became good friends, collaborated, and shared many ideas. I will never forget the friendship and support of the students in the CTER2 cohort! Thanks!
