What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program: |
I enjoyed doing projects with classmates. I really learned a lot from my cohorts in this program. We all came from diverse backgrounds and were able to contribute various things. |
|
How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life: |
Most of my classwork was done after my three year old daughter went to bed and on weekends. I don't think I could have completed this program without the support of my husband who kept our daughter entertained when I needed to be online or meet with classmates. |
|
CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways: |
I learned a great deal about technology during the coursework and have used many of my projects in my classroom and shared them with other teachers. My comfort level in creating web pages, uploading files, etc. drastically increased over the past two years. Having a master's degree which included curriculum and education reform helped me secure a new position within my school district. |
|
Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.) |
I accepted a new position within my district this fall as a Reading Excellence Act Coach. Three elementary schools in our district are recipients of a grant to improve reading instruction. The primary goal of this grant is to provide intial and ongoing high-quality professional development for K-3 teachers in the participating schools.

My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program: |
My most memorable experience(s) is working with the wonderful members of the Springfield Connection. It helped us tremendously to meet face-to-face sometimes when working on a project. Barnes & Noble and Panera will definitely miss us! |
