What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program: I enjoyed that I could work from home (or school). Although we were online and not face-to-face most of the time, we developed friendships and relationships throughout our sharing the experiences. To me, that's the best part.
How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life: Lots of credit goes to my study partner, Michele Jacobs. She picked me up when I was down, I tried to do the same for her. We made calendars, lists, set deadlines and worked together a lot. A big part of my getting through was due to the help of my husband, who would give me time and space (take the kids out for a few hours) so that I could get work done. Also, I worked part-time (mostly half-days) during this program. I did a lot of work in the afternoons before my kids got home from school.
CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways: I will move across on the pay schedule. This was a great incentive to me as I am starting to think of retirement for my husband and myself, and the extra pay will certainly help.
Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.) cter is great!
My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program: Gosh, this is tough. I'll never forget the day WebBoard crashed and I couldn't cut and paste from AOL. With Michele 'talking me through' on the telephone, I literally typed in my whole presentation - live. When I finished, I burst into tears. I'll also remember - the fun we had making the 'Privacy Video', Patty cracked me up! The tremendous 'stretching', I had to do in the School Law class
