Special Education Teacher

Jefferson Middle School

What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program:

I enjoyed the self paced assignments of the CTER program. I also enjoyed being able to communicate and interact with my classmates through a variety of technology.

How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life:

Sometimes it was very difficult!! I attempted to set aside a certain block of time each week that was designated for work on the CTER assignments. It also helped to work with a group of people from here in Springfield. We would set meeting times and assignments that needed to be complete for these meetings. This helped me not to procrastinate.

CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways:

Next year as well as teaching special education I will be doing a technology class part time. This class will be taught at our new middle school to sixth and eighth graders.

Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.)

My husband and I are expecting the birth of our first child around the end of June. I will be learning a new job for next year as our school changes from a fifth and sixth grade center to a middle school that will house sixth through eighth grades.

My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program:

The sense of accomplishment I felt when I successfully completed the master's program!!
