What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program: |
I really liked the collaboration that this program afforded. The program was very unique in that I had the opportunity to work with everyone in some way or another. Plus, the interaction was much greater than I had in any other courses. |
|
How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life: |
The technology aspects were much easier for me, so I didn't worry about that too much. I loved the format, because it gave me the opportunity to work at my own pace and schedule, not necessarily the traditional class schedules. |
|
CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways: |
I have spoken on the impact of CTER during several programs, including our district conference, the Moveable Feast training, and a couple of conferences that I presented. It has been very well received. It didn't actually affect my professional career in terms of pay/movement, but the skills have been instrumental as I try to implement what I have learned in my own district. |

Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.) |
During the summer of the first year, I took another technology director position in Bloomington, IL. During the following summer, we had our first child - a girl, Jordan. It's been great! |
|
My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program: |
The Suzie Journals in the Ethics course and Wildwood Jr. High in the Assessment course were interesting, because they were an innovative way to approach online education. I really enjoyed working with everyone and learned a great deal about how other districts implement technology plans, train teachers, and that we deal with so many of the same types of issues. |
