What I liked best about the CTER OnLine program: |
I liked the flexibility to do the required coursework on my schedule. If that meant middle of the night or early morning, I could work when time was convenient for me. There was little travel to campus which was most favorable due to hectic schedules. |
|
How I managed to fit the coursework into my hectic life: |
I often worked at 1 and 2 in the morning. I have two very active children in various school and personal related activities and the online classes gave me the luxury to attend their activities and still complete the required work. Most importantly was the support network of others in the class. |
|
CTER OnLine has impacted my professional career in the following ways: |
When I first enrolled in the CTER classes, I was employed as a Teacher Instructional Leader. I recently became the Director of Technology for school District 186. I can't say the degree was the reason for my advance, but it certainly did help. The CTER classes made me aware of different issues in the technology world that often are overlooked. |

Have you had any major life changes you'd like to share? (marriages, births, new jobs, etc.) |
I mentioned above the job change. There have been no other major life changes - The job is more than enough! |

My most memorable experience in the CTER OnLine program: |
There is so much to remember. The late nights, the support groups, the sharing books, the support groups, the late nights, Wildwood, school law, the grant writing, the posting and discovering it really didn't happen! Overall the entire experience was memorable, however I most appreciate the friendships that developed through the collaboration of work. There are so many wonderful educators out there and it was great to hear what is going on in other districts and learn from each other. |
