CTER Facts

Here are some facts about the CTER program since it began in 1999. These questions were meant to provide more background about CTER, from results we've received from pre-program, mid-program, and post-program surveys given to CTER students.

What kinds of backgrounds do CTER students have?

Note: CTER students with double appointments were listed in both categories.

Students' Opinions After Completing the CTER program:

"The flexibilty to work on courses when I had time made this program very appealing. Many of my co-workers spent a lot of their masters degree stuck in suburban traffic while driving to classes each week. I loved that I could do my entire degree from my couch! I think this program has also given me a lot of confidence as well."

"Really enjoyed the collaboration and friendship with colleagues."

"I enjoyed the opportunity to establish great connections with members of the cohort and to engage in the rigorous CTER Program with suportive colleagues and CTER professors and staff."

"I liked the support from professors, interaction with students in other areas, and the knowledge I gained in the use of technology."

"I enjoyed the access I had to my instructors. My questions were always answered within a day. That personal attention really enhanced my educational experience. It was much more than a classroom based experience could ever be."

"I really enjoyed the ability to work on my schedule-usually very early in the mornings. I also liked the ability to interact with others with technology via course management systems, email, and chat boards."

"I enjoyed learning current technology and using it with my students. It was a great experience!"
